A HUGE Shout Out to the parents of the STEM Magnet Program students for coming out to Open House. We had a huge and successful turnout. A special thank you to our Interim Superintendent Mrs. Heidi Trosclair, Dr. Juanita Hill, and one of our School Board members Mr. Shawn Wallace for supporting our Open House!!

SJBP STEM Magnet Chess team Cyrel Rodrigazo, Avery Williams, and George Smith, along with Matthew Billings from SJBP East St. John High, attended the National Chess Championship in Texas with Coach Rene’ Phillips. The STEM CHESS TEAM walked away with 2 National titles in our first year of competition. Coach Phillips concluded: “Each of the players exhibited exemplary behavior and represented themselves, their team, families, school, parish and Louisiana extremely well. They all made indelible marks on executives from the United States Chess Federation and earned recognition in the organization's international Twitter Feed”. Congratulations!!!

STEM 8th graders tour Southeastern Louisiana University!

STEM's very own Coach Scallan, spoke to teacher candidates at Southeastern Louisiana University Conference about STEM.

Awesome performance team! STEM and East St. John High and Prep are now forces to be reckoned with in the most prestigious academic sport known to man---Chess! Students competed in their 1st Louisiana State High School Chess Competition.

The President of Grambling State University along with members of his staff and current students stopped by the STEM Program on a recruitment tour to speak with out 10th graders.
